Stryker
is a 3 1/2 year old Malin/Collie (Malinois Border Colie
cross). He came into Melissa's life as a foster puppy whom
she could not part with. He is a phenominal athlete, tall,
lean and extremely athletic. He competes in dock diving,
super/extreme vertical and flyball. He has also dabbled in
schutzhund and doggy high jumping.
Stryker began competing in January of 2006 in the sport of
Extreme/Super Vertical. At his first event he wowed the
crowd and fellow competitors as he took first place and
reached 6' 10". He hit his new personal best jump of 7'
6" at the SRS Crown Championship in July
2007. Where he and Melissa were crowned
the SRS Crown Championship for Super V in 2007. This is
Stryker's second year as the SRS Super V Champion. Just a
few weeks after his stellar performance at the SRS, Stryker
and Melissa competed at the DockDogs World Championship.
Stryker took 1st place with a jump of 7'6" becoming the 2007
DockDogs Extreme Vertical World Champion.
Stryker is no stranger to the winner's
circle, he has placed first in almost all of the
super/extreme vertical competitions he has competed in and
was the Splash Dogs 2006 Cynosport Super Vertical Champion,
with a top jump of 7' 4".
Stryker continues to show his consistency and strength in
the sport and is definitely a high flyer!
Along with his strength in exteme/super vertical, Stryker
has recently, returned to the sport of dock diving. He is making
huge strides in this sport as well. He has only begun his
work in big air, but so far he has hit 19' 3" with only
using 15 feet of dock! Imagine what this boy is going to do
when he uses the 30 feet and the full 40! |
